One of the first Gluten Free recipes I ever made for a Holiday was this Gluten-Free Cranberry-Apple Crumble for a Thanksgiving dessert.

Keeping things simple, healthy and delicious are my criteria in the kitchen. This dessert met those needs and was sweet, warm and delightful.

You will need…

  • 4 Apples diced up. I used an array of varieties like jonagold, honeycrisp, or whatever was in season at my hubby’s farmers market.
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup freshly juiced orange juice
  • 1 12 oz Bag of GF granola (There are so many lovely naturally GF granola’s on the market now…choose whatever one you like!)

To Prepare:

Dice up the apples into small bite size pieces and place in a glass or ceramic baking dish. Mix in the cranberries and raisins. Add the sugar, cinnamon, and the juiced oranges…stir….Then, layer on top 1 bag of the Gluten Free Granola…Bake at 380 degrees for aprox.30-40 minutes.

I loved the tart berries mixed with the sweet orange flavor and the warm combo of the soft yet slightly crunchy granola.

I thoroughly enjoyed the leftovers for 2 days and will definitely be making this dish again…and again…
